OMS app: Completing a local delivery or mail order

Learn how to complete local delivery and mail orders in the Breadstack OMS tablet app once items have been picked and marked as ready.


Before continuing

  • Make sure the order has been picked, packed, and marked as Items Ready.
  • Confirm that any required payment has been received. Some orders, such as eTransfer orders, must be confirmed before fulfillment.

  • Check whether your store’s POS or delivery service integration automatically updates order status. For details, see Understanding order, payment, and fulfillment statuses.


Completing a local delivery order

  1. Once items are marked ready, the OMS app triggers the creation of a delivery task on your delivery service platform (e.g., Breadstack Delivery (CanFleet) or OnFleet).

  2. The driver receives the delivery assignment and collects payment if required.

  3. Upon successful delivery, the driver confirms completion using their delivery app.

  4. The order status in the OMS App will change to Completed and the order will move to the Order History tab.

Be aware

  • If payment has not yet been collected, completion may depend on the driver confirming payment.
  • Notifications may be sent to the customer when delivery is complete, depending on store settings.


Completing a mail order

  1. Open the order details panel for the mail order that has been marked Items Ready.

  2. Tap Print Waybill. You'll see a print dialogue box showing available printers in your network.Screenshot_20251216-160021_Breadstack

  3. Confirm the print job.

  4. The OMS app will automatically post the delivery task to your store's mail service and record the tracking number. Make sure the printed waybill is securely attached to the package before posting.
  5. Customers directly receive tracking notifications and a delivery confirmation (in accordance with your store's settings). 
  6. When delivery is confirmed, the order status in the OMS App will change to Completed and the order will move to the Order History tab.

Canceling a waybill

If the waybill needs to be canceled before shipping, you can tap Void waybill (you'll find it in the menu in the upper right). This will revert the order to a pre-waybill state.
