# Editing a product page slug

## Give your products customized slugs to create user-friendly links and improve your website's SEO.

You can use Breadstack to customize a product's slug, regardless of whether you have set [manual entry or PoS sync](https://helpcentre.breadstack.com/switching-the-source-of-product-information-manual-entry-or-pos-sync?hsLang=en-ca) as your source for product information.

1. Go to **Online Store** > **Products** > **All Products** and click on the product whose slug you would like to edit.
2. Under **Slug**, enter a new slug for the product.

#### What makes a good slug?

A strong slug helps both users and search engines understand what the page is about.

- Keep slugs short and clear.
- Use descriptive, keyword-rich terms.
- Use hyphens, not spaces or underscores, to separate words. Hyphens are recognized as word separators by search engines.
- Use the same pattern for similar types of products to maintain a clean URL structure.
