Creating a business insights report with Manus AI
This guide explains how to create an in-depth sales or performance report—similar to those reviewed in Breadstack value sessions—using your own data.
Breadstack includes built-in custom reports for high-level insights. If you’d like to perform deeper, more flexible analysis using your raw order data, you can export your data and generate a comprehensive report using Manus: Hands On AI.
The result is a detailed report with charts, tables, and data-driven recommendations.
What You’ll Need

Access to your Breadstack account

Access to Manus: Hands On AI - Note: Manus is a third-party platform owned and operated by Meta.

Spreadsheet software (Excel or Google Sheets)
Step 1: Export your order data from Breadstack

Navigate to Online Store > Orders.

Use the Filters to define a time frame, fulfillment methods, payment types or other criteria for your review.

Click Export. If you've included a large amount of order data, your file may take a few minutes to download.
Step 2: Clean the data
Before uploading your data, review the CSV file to ensure accurate and compliant analysis.

Open your file inExcel or Google Sheets.

Remove any incomplete or internal test orders (for example, $0 orders or placeholder customer names).

Delete the column containing customer email addresses to prevent privacy and compliance issues.
- Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file.
Step 3: Log in to Manus: Hands On AI

Go to https://manus.im

Log in using your authorized account.
Step 4: Prepare the prompt
Copy and paste the prompt below into the Manus chat. You’ll only need to replace these placeholders:

XXX (excluded data) → Any store or source you want excluded (for example, a partial month)

The business is XXX → Your business name

operating in XXXX → City and province/state
Note that you can customize the components you'd like to see. The below components are those Breadstack typically includes in the reports we share with clients at value review sessions.
Analysis prompt
You are a highly trained analyst for a retail business. Your job is to analyze this sales data and create a comprehensive report with the following components:
Executive summary with key performance indicators
Detailed trend analysis with visualizations
Breakdown of fulfillment options (focus on delivery/mail orders where relevant)
Product category analysis with top-selling products
Payment methods analysis with insights
Month-over-month performance metrics
Day and hour performance patterns
Store-by-store comparison
Strategic business recommendations
Only include completed orders in your analysis. Exclude data from XXX as it's a partial dataset. The business is XXX operating in XXXX. Please include tables and charts throughout the document to illustrate key findings. All recommendations must be based solely on patterns in the data.
Step 5: Upload your CSV file
In the Manus chat:

Click Upload, or

Drag and drop your cleaned CSV file into the conversation.
Step 6: Generate the report
Press Enter to run the prompt. Manus will analyze your data and generate a report with charts, tables, and written insights.
This may take a few minutes.
Step 8: Review and reuse

Review the output for accuracy and clarity.

Download or copy the report for sharing.

For future reports, you can reuse the same Manus conversation and prompt.
To generate the same report for a new dataset, you can enter:
“Here is a different Data Set for XXXX. I would like the exact same report you just produced. Do not include XXX in the analysis as it’s a partial month.”
