Connecting a printer to the Breadstack OMS App

Connect a printer to Breadstack's tablet app so you can print receipts automatically or on demand.

In order for the Breadstack OMS App to work with your printer, your tablet must first be able to find that printer either wirelessly or via a USB cable.

    • For a wireless connection - Note that your printer and tablet must be on the same wifi network;
    • For a USB connection - We recommend using a USB-B to USB-C cable. Ensure the USB-B (square) end is plugged into your printer's data port. Note that some wireless printers may not have a compatible data port.
Once you've set up the connection, open the Breadstack OMS App. Go to Settings > Receipt Printing and click Printer. If your printer is connected, you should see it listed here.

Not seeing your printer?

Here are some things to check:

  • For USB connections, make sure the cable is not damaged and that it is plugged into a data port (not a power port) on your printer.
  • For wireless connections, make sure both your tablet and printer are online and using the same network.
  • Ensure your printer model is compatible with your tablet. Some models are incompatible with one another. If possible, try a different printer or tablet.

Automatic printing

If you would like receipts to print automatically for each new order, turn on Auto-print. (Note that orders paid by eTransfer will print only after an employee confirms that payment was received.)
