Adjusting live chat service hours

You can set the days and hours your online store is "open" for live chats.

Customers can still initiate chats outside these hours, but they will see your off service hours message. This helps you manage their expectations about response times.

This article is about setting store-wide chat service hours. But if your agents are divided into departments, you can customize specific hours for each one. Learn more about setting up departments.

To change your chat service hours:
  1. Visit Settings > Service Hours. 
  2. Tick the boxes next to the days of the week your chat service operates, and adjust the Start Time and End Time. For any days your service team is completely offline, leave that day's checkbox unchecked.

  3. (Optional) If you would like notifications to go silent when your store is outside service hours, toggle Mute all notifications outside of service hours on.
  4. Click Save on the pop-up at the bottom of the screen.
